TMZ reported that the couple obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, on Saturday that included their full legal names: Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lynn Lopez. According to the outlet, the two wed in Las Vegas.

TMZ reports that a source connected to the couple confirmed the news.

Representatives for Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49, did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

The couple, who first dated in 2002, rekindled their romance almost 20 years later in 2021 and announced their second engagement in April 2022. Lopez announced the engagement in her newsletter and shared a brief video of the ring, which includes a bright green stone set in a silver band.

"True love exists and forever is real…" Lopez wrote in the newsletter. In a separate newsletter, Lopez said Affleck proposed to her while she was taking a bubble bath. She later showed off the square-cut ring in an Instagram post that month.

As Insider's Olivia Singh previously reported, Affleck and Lopez met on the set of "Gigli," a 2001 film in which their characters fall in love. Lopez was married to Cris Judd at the time. Affleck denied romance rumors that sparked ahead of the film's debut, in a March 2003 interview with Vanity Fair.

Affleck and Lopez began dating in July 2002, and their engagement was confirmed in November 2002 in an interview with Diane Sawyer. However, the couple postponed their engagement and later broke up in January 2004.

Both went on to have other relationships, including Affleck's previous marriage to Jennifer Garner and Lopez's marriage to Marc Anthony.

Lopez shares two children with Anthony: 14-year-old twins Emme and Maximilian. Affleck shares three children with Garner: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.

Affleck and Lopez spoke fondly of each other in the media over the years, but speculation over their rekindled romance sparked in May 2021.

At that time, Daily Mail published pictures of the pair spending time together in Montana. One month later, Page Six obtained photos of the two kissing.

The couple went public with their relationship — attending a number of events together — and announced their second engagement in April 2022.
