- Season eight of "Selling Sunset" dives into Chelsea Lazkani's marriage.
- The end of the season hints at a new beginning for the Oppenheim Group agent.
Season eight of "Selling Sunset" features some revelations that may have shaken up Chelsea Lazkani's marriage.
The show, which follows a group of real estate agents at The Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles, features a storyline in which Bre Tiesi, the mother of one of Nick Cannon's children, learns that Chelsea's husband Jeff Lazkani may have cheated on her.
In episode three, Tiesi's friend Amanda Lynn tells her that one of Lynn's friends who lives in the W Hotel in Hollywood saw Jeff kissing a female resident who was not Chelsea. In episode five, Bre tells Chelsea what she heard from Amanda, and says that regardless of their prior disagreements, she felt that Chelsea "had the right to know."
While Chelsea appears to take Bre at her word and is heartbroken about the potential cheating, she also questions Bre's motivations for having the conversation on camera. Yet despite the drama of this explosive scene, by the end of the season, actual details on where Chelsea's marriage stands are scant.
Aside from mentioning to Emma and Chrishell in the immediate aftermath that she hadn't yet confronted her husband about the rumor that he was at the W, Chelsea's only reference to what the future might hold for her comes in the season finale, when she eyes a new home — potentially for herself.
"The foundation I've built in Manhattan Beach is something I thought I'd be building for years to come," she says in a confessional. "I would've fought till the very end for my marriage."
Here's where Chelsea's marriage stands today.
Chelsea Lazkani filed for divorce in March
People reported that Chelsea filed for divorce from Jeff in late March, citing "irreconcilable differences" in court documents. According to the publication, Chelsea filed for joint custody of her and Jeff's two children, Maddox Ali Lavon Lazkani and Melia Iman Lazkani, and spousal support from Jeff.
People then reported that Jeff responded to Chelsea's divorce filing in documents filed on April 2, saying that he also wanted a divorce. In a written declaration, he alleged that Chelsea had been "physically aggressive," striking him and breaking his glasses in one incident, and that some of his belongings had disappeared from their home. He also accused her of recording him in their shared home, and asked for possession of the Manhattan Beach house.
In an interview with Access Hollywood in May 2024, Chelsea spoke publicly about the divorce.
"I'm doing good. Ups and downs, take every day as it comes, but today I'm doing really good," she said.
When asked about how supportive her "Selling Sunset" cast members had been during her divorce, Chelsea said that Emma Hernan and Chrishell Stause were her "best friends" and were "the most supportive people in the world."
