Starring Adam Driver, Penelope Cruz, and a white-haired Patrick Dempsey, Michael Mann's new film "Ferrari" follows the efforts of the real-life racing mogul, Enzo Ferrari, to bring his team glory and find harmony in his personal life.
"Ferrari" also portrays the dangerous reality of Formula 1 racers in the 1950s (when the film is set), often in graphic detail. But Enzo (played by Driver) and his relationships with his wife (Cruz), his mistress (Shailene Woodley) and their child, and his racers are the primary focus of the film.

Throughout the film, Enzo struggles with his guilt over his son's death, as well as his desire for greatness for his racing team and car company, Ferrari.
Penelope Cruz plays his wife, Laura.

Laura, who was involved in Ferrari from the very beginning, is shown to be a savvy businesswoman in the film, despite her resentment for Enzo.
Racing star Alfonso de Portago is played by Gabriel Leone.

"Ferrari" portrays de Portago as a dashing Spanish nobleman and racecar driver who joins the Ferrari team in time to compete in the famous Mille Miglia race.
Patrick Dempsey plays Ferrari driver Piero Taruffi.

Sarah Gadon plays movie star Linda Christian, who's romantically involved with de Portago in the film.

In real life, Christian was photographed giving de Portago a kiss during a short stop in the Mille Miglia, moments before he was involved in a terrible accident. The photograph was later dubbed "The Kiss of Death."
