Eight months later, it's Emmys time again, but the playing field looks at least somewhat different.</p><p>That's due in large part to series like <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/shogun-reviews-critics-game-of-thrones-drama-2024-2">FX's "Shōgun,"</a> which picked up 14 awards at the Creative Arts Emmys a week before the larger ceremony. <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/baby-reindeer-timeline-fiona-harvey-richard-gadd-piers-morgan-martha-2024-5">"Baby Reindeer,"</a> Richard Gadd's controversial Netflix limited series, is another notable newcomer with Gadd himself up for both writing and acting awards.</p><p>There are plenty of familiar faces too, like <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/the-bear-season-3-reviews-critics-2024-6">"The Bear,"</a> "The Crown," and "Abbott Elementary."
