Gigi Hadid showed off her baby bump for the first time on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old supermodel, who's expecting her first daughter with her 27-year-old boyfriend Zayn Malik, shared a series of black-and-white photos taken by fashion photographers Luigi and Iango, who are represented by 2b Management.
She was styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, and her makeup was done by Erin Parsons.
Hadid captioned the first portrait: "growin an angel :)."
In the next series of photos, she displays a full-body profile. Hadid also noted that the photos were taken on July 26, around two months before her reported due date in September.
Hadid cradles her stomach in the final series of photos and thanked her collaborators in the caption.
She wrote, "cherishing this time. appreciate all the love & well wishes ♡ will never forget creating these special images with my friends @luigiandiango @gabriellak_j @erinparsonsmakeup thank you. I love you!"
Hadid also shared a behind-the-scenes moment from the shoot on her Instagram story. It appeared as though the crew wore masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Though Hadid has chatted about her pregnancy during interviews and even showed fans a glimpse of her bump, she's previously kept information about her pregnancy off of social media — leaving her 56.4 million Instagram followers desperate for details.
She explained her rationale during an Instagram Livestream in July, first clarifying that she's in no way hiding her pregnancy, as several outlets claimed.
Hadid continued to tell fans that she's "taking my time with sharing my pregnancy" and planned to share details on her journey in the future.
"I think a lot of people are confused why I'm not sharing more but like, I'm pregnant through a pandemic, like obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world," she said.
Hadid continued, "That's a reason that I felt that it's not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends. Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening. And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that."
The supermodel added that she's taken "a lot of pictures" and has been doing best to "document it well," promising to one day show her followers.
"I just am not rushed to do it, and I feel like right now I just want to experience it, and I write in my journal a lot, and I just don't want to worry about waking up every day during my pregnancy and like worry about having to like look cute or post something," she said.
