Former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice said she was "uncomfortable" filming the first sex scene of her career for her upcoming movie "Depravity."

Justice, who began acting as a child and had her first kiss on a Disney show, told Tuesday's episode of SiriusXM's "Hits 1 LA with Tony Fly and Symon" that she filmed the "Depravity" sex scene on her first day on set, before she got to know her scene partner.

"I'm like, 'Really, guys? We're gonna schedule this for the first day? Cool. Thanks for that,'" Justice said. "It is uncomfortable. I was actually very nervous about it and totally anxious about the entire situation, and I was like, 'Did I make the wrong choice? I don't know if I should do this.'"

Justice added: "I think sometimes people think like filming sex scenes or anything like an intimate scene that it's like really sexy… it's really not. It's uncomfortable, honestly, and there's a bunch of random dudes in the room breathing and watching you."

In recent years, major productions have begun to employ intimacy coordinators to help create safe environments for actors filming nude or other intimate scenes. It's not clear if "Depravity, which was not backed by a big movie studio until after filming was complete, hired intimacy coordinators.

Justice said the film's director, Paul Tamasy, helped make her feel comfortable in the vulnerable moment.

"I had a lot of faith and trust in our director, Paul Tamasy, and he made me feel very comfortable about it and he was like, 'Listen, I'll show it to you beforehand. If you don't like it, we'll change it, whatever,'" she said.

Justice said her costar, whom she didn't name, also improved the experience.

"We like barely knew each other because it was the first day of filming, but he was a super nice guy and made me feel very safe and was very polite and respectful, so it went well and it's very tasteful," Justice said.

"Depravity," which does not have a release date yet, follows three neighbors in an apartment building who suspect they're living next to a serial killer.
