Cardi B has been hit with backlash online after a video of her twerking on a beloved kids character went viral.

On Monday, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper and her husband, Offset, celebrated their daughter Kulture's fifth birthday at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey.

While there, Cardi uploaded a video to her Instagram story of her twerking on a statue of Nickelodeon's "Rugrats" character Grandpa Lou Pickles as she continually slapped her behind.

While some joked they were jealous of Grandpa Lou's situation, many criticized Cardi for what they believed to be over sexualizing children's objects.

"It sickens me they are making kids things sexual, every single day," commented one Instagram user. "It's the agenda I guess."

Another wrote: "They always sexualize kids and it's not pretty."

One commenter suggested that Cardi's behaviour will also teach younger girls to act in a similar manner.

"This why lil girls picking shit up," they wrote. "Watching these new artist turning our community of kids into party poopers & ass shakers."

Representatives for Cardi B did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In other Cardi B news, the New York native was recently subjected to allegations of cheating by her hubby Offset.

Late last month, the former Migos rapper posted a since-deleted Instagram story that accused Cardi, whom he married in 2017 and shares two children with, of infidelity.

He said that Cardi had "fucked" another man.

Cardi hit back at the claims later the same day while hosting a Twitter Spaces conversation, telling Offset to "stop acting stupid."

"Don't play with me. What the fuck. Stop playing," she said, adding that listeners shouldn't listen to her husband because he is "spiraling and thinking shit."

"Like, you can't be serious. Don't play, motherfucker. Got me looking fucking crazy and shit for no reason," she concluded.

Neither Cardi or Offset have since addressed Offset's cheating allegations publicly again.
