- Warning: Spoilers ahead for the first nine episodes of "Love Is Blind" season six.
- Brittany Mills and Kenneth Gorham have one of the smoothest paths to engagement in the pods.
Brittany Mills and Kenneth Gorham's romance in the pods on "Love Is Blind" season six is relatively uncomplicated.
The two quickly connect over their faith and form a deep emotional and spiritual connection without seeing one another. They also bond over their losses: Ken opens up to Brittany about his biological mother's death from cancer, and Brittany shares that her father, who was an alcoholic, died when she was 5.
When Ken and Brittany meet at the reveal, the two are pretty giddy to see each other. Brittany also lavishes praise on Ken, both to him and to the other women during the couples' getaway in the Dominican Republic. One potential hiccup comes up when Ken and Amber Desiree "AD" Smith have a conversation about them being an interracial couple, but Ken and Brittany have a productive conversation about AD's concerns in the next episode.
Unfortunately, things take a turn for Brittany and Ken during the tail end of the couples' getaway for an entirely different reason that has nothing to do with race.
Ken and Brittany break up on 'Love Is Blind' episode eight
During a boat outing in episode seven, it becomes clear that Brittany and Ken just aren't connecting on a physical level.
After an awkwardly silent start to the ride, Brittany emphasizes to Ken how much she loves to be touched and admits she's wondered whether he's into her because he's not as affectionate with her as she's used to. He says he's confused because he feels like if anything, he's smothering her.
Also not helping: Ken pretty much ignores Brittany in favor of being glued to his phone in virtually every scene the moment they get back to North Carolina.
While the physical chemistry issue got brushed aside during the getaway, it comes back up in episode eight when they're back home. In a confessional, Brittany voices concern over Ken's more introverted moments. She eventually confronts Ken for not appearing to be as excited as she is over their relationship.
Later on, a playful argument over Ken getting home at 1 a.m. and waking her up devolves into a much larger issue and reveals the real problem in their relationship: Brittany admits she's missing the "crave" she had for him in the pods and doesn't feel that sexual desire for him she expected she would.
Ken makes it clear that this is just a problem on Brittany's side and lays their incompatibility out plainly. The two decide to call it quits at that point, leaving Brittany in tears as Ken packs up his things to leave the apartment.
The exes seem to have remained amicable on social media
Ken and Brittany's breakup was sad, not contentious — they even hugged it out — so it's not surprising that the two seem amicable post-show.
The exes currently follow each other on Instagram and have liked a number of one another's posts. Brittany liked Ken's birthday post from September 2023; Ken did the same for Brittany's August 2023 birthday post.
That said, there's no indication that the two might have rekindled things after filming. They both seem like they've been pretty busy doing their own thing over the last year.
Since their relationship is over, it's unlikely we'll see Brittany and Ken on our screens again before the season ends. Of course, we might end up seeing the two talk out their issues — and rehash the reasons behind their breakup — at the inevitable season six reunion.
The next two episodes of "Love Is Blind" season six air on February 28.
