A$AP Rocky inadvertently knocked a woman's glasses off as he facepalmed her while hopping the barricade at his hotel before the 2023 Met Gala Monday.

Journalist Philip Lewis shared footage of the moment the rapper, wearing all black with his hood up, burst through the crowd and hopped the gate outside of The Carlyle Hotel in New York City.

While doing so, he pushed his hand into a fan's face to propel himself over.

"So does anyone know why ASAP Rocky had to do this?" Lewis captioned the video.

Shortly after the footage went viral, the woman whose face Rocky palmed revealed herself on Twitter to be 21-year-old Madelyn Llanes from Long Island, New York.

"ASAP Rocky just literally jumped over me," she tweeted alongside a selfie with her glasses slightly askew.

Llanes later spoke to The Independent about the incident.

"I had felt someone tapping my shoulder, so I turned around and saw that it was him but my brain didn't fully comprehend that it was him," he said.

Llanes said Rocky then told her, "Sweetheart, I need to get through." She said she told him no, but he did not care.

"He just pushed his way up and then hopped over and grabbed me and the guy next to me as he did," she said. "After he hopped over, he was like 'thank you' and then just laughed and flipped me off and then he went inside and that's when I fully realized it was him."

Representatives for A$AP Rocky did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Rocky and his partner Rihanna, who is pregnant with their second child, nearly missed the red carpet after arriving hours late to the Met Gala on Monday.

Sticking to this year's theme, the couple paid homage to the late Karl Lagerfeld with their outfits.

Rocky wore a white button-up with a tie and a plaid skirt paired with crystal-covered jeans, while Rihanna opted for a large flower-covered, hooded coat and matching white skirt.
