The newest "Star Wars" story has arrived on Disney Plus, and with it comes a whole new cast of interesting characters from around the galaxy.
Keep reading for a list of all the major characters in "The Mandalorian" that you should know.

The main character in "The Mandalorian" is a bounty hunter named Din Djarin.
Pedro Pascal voices the bounty hunter in "The Mandalorian."

Mainly referred to simply as the Mandalorian, Din Djarin is part of the Mandalore tribe — a group of warriors living in hiding after their people were attacked by the Empire during what they call the Great Purge.
Greef Carga is the man who gets the Mandalorian bounty assignments.

Greef Carga is the name of the man who the Mandalorian delivers his bounty assets to. Carga pays the Mandalorian, and then gives him info about an off-the-books job with a new client who has deep pockets.
The Client is a mysterious man who commissions the Mandalorian for a new bounty hunt.

Similar to the Mandalorian, very little information about the "Client" is given on the first episode.
We know he has access to the rare metal called Beskar, and he wears an Imperial insignia — which means he's still loyal to the fallen Empire. This was made clear thanks to his Stormtrooper bodyguards, too.
Doctor Pershing is working with the Client to try and acquire the Yoda-like baby.

When the Mandalorian gets his new assignment from the Client, a man named Doctor Pershing appears. This doctor wanted the "asset" (aka the Child) to be acquired alive.
Kuill is an Ugnaught (a type of alien species) who helps the Mandalorian.
Nick Nolte is the voice of Kuill on "The Mandalorian."

The Mandalorian follows the Client's information to a new planet, where he's quickly attacked by two Blurrgs. Kuill saves the bounty hunter, and helps him get to the building where the asset is being held.
IG-11 is a bounty droid who was also commissioned to find the Child.

The Mandalorian encounters the IG-11 droid (voiced by "Thor: Ragnorok" director Taika Waititi) when he arrives to the compound.
Later on in the series, IG-11 helped the Mandalorian protect the Child.
Cara Dune is another outcast fighter who joined the Mandalorian's efforts to protect the Child.

According to the official "Star Wars" website, Cara Dune is "a war veteran who survived the Galactic Civil War, but now lives as an outcast who finds it difficult to reintegrate into society."
She's a former rebel shock trooper and current mercenary eventually met up with the Mandalorian.
The Mandalorian helped a woman named Omera regain control over a small village.

The Mandalorian had a somewhat romantic-leaning relationship with Omera, but eventually was forced to leave her behind when he realized the Child was being tracked by other bounty hunters.
Fennec Shand is a notorious assassin, who was left for dead on Tatooine, but was discovered by a mysterious figure.

In season one, the Mandalorian teamed up with a less experienced bounty hunter to try and capture Fennec Shand.
The fight went poorly when the Mandalorian's temporary partner turned on him, and left Shand for dead in the desert of Tatooine.
Shand's body was found by a mysterious figure, who some fans think could be Boba Fett.
Peli Motto is a Tatooine resident, who helps the Mandalorian fix his ship.
Amy Sedaris plays Peli Motto in "The Mandalorian."

Peli Motto first surfaced in season one of "The Mandalorian" when he needed his Razor Crest ship repaired. She grew fond of the Child during his stay with her.
Mof Gideon is the main antagonist and leader of the Imperial group trying to capture the Child.

Played by "Breaking Bad" star Giancarlo Esposito, Mof Gideon is another Imperial loyalist. He appears to outrank the Client, and is the leader most eager to kidnap the Child.
Sheriff Cobb Vanth is another Tatooine resident who teams up with the Mandalorian.
Timothy Olyphant plays Cobb Vanth in "The Mandalorian."
