Early 2021: Ed 'Big Ed' Brown and Elizabeth 'Liz' Woods first meet

Ed, who was first introduced on season four of "90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days," met Liz at the San Diego restaurant where she worked in early 2021, ET reports. The two ultimately began dating and their romance was chronicled on season one of "90 Day: The Single Life," which aired in 2021. ("The Single Life" follows past "90 Day" franchise castmembers as they're looking for love again after earlier breakups.)

Ed and Liz's first attempt at a serious relationship was plagued by trust issues. In a May 2021 episode of "90 Day Bares All" (another spinoff of TLC's popular reality show that focuses on behind-the-scenes footage and anecdotes), Liz said she'd been terrified of "losing" Ed during their courtship.

"At one point I felt like if I didn't go at his pace, I was gonna lose him," Liz said. "That he wouldn't want me anymore, so I would cave in and go at his speed."

Mid-2021: The couple break up after a brief romance, but later rekindle things while filming season two of 'Single Life'

"The timing wasn't right and it was rushed — we both rushed things," Big Ed told People of his first breakup with Woods.

According to Ed, he "tried to move too fast" in his initial relationship with Liz, and also "wasn't a good person."

"I wasn't a good boyfriend. I didn't treat Liz like she deserved to be treated," he said.

Liz, for her part, said she "struggled" quite a bit following her breakup with Ed, and "went through a really bad depression stage."

However, after Big Ed's beloved dog Teddy died in August 2021, Liz told People that she felt obligated to reach out to offer her condolences — and two soon rekindled things from there. The couple's reconciliation was featured on season two of the "90 Day: The Single Life" spinoff.

November 2021: Big Ed and Liz announce they're engaged

The couple confirmed their engagement in an email statement to Insider at the time, writing: "We are each other's forever, and, yes, we are engaged."

Big Ed told People that after his split with Liz in the first season of "The Single Life," he realized she was the one he was meant to be with.

"About a month before we got back together, I realized that I really didn't appreciate who she was and I don't want to love anybody else," he said. "And never in a million years did I think that I would ever be together with Liz — it's just surreal."

The couple slowly grew closer until Ed invited Liz over for a relationship-changing dinner, People reported.

He said he asked her: "'Am I your forever?' And she said yes. And she ended up leaving for work, and I did a beeline to the jewelry store and bought the biggest diamond I could find."

Early 2022: The couple defend their relationship from 'Single Life' costars in the season 2 tell-all episode

"You're not in love with her, you're using her. You are desperate," fellow "Single Life" cast member Debbie Johnson told Ed in the show's season two tell-all episode. "Everybody knows that. You don't love anybody except yourself."

Debbie went on to address Liz directly, asking her: "Liz, were you aware, those six months that he was getting his brain together, that he was out sniffing around for someone that would appreciate him and say yes?"

Another costar, Stephanie Matto, agreed, and said that she thought Ed "fucked up" the first time he broke up with Liz.

Both Big Ed and Liz defended their since-rekindled relationship, with Ed saying: "No one can tell you who to love." Liz also blamed Ed's past behavior on some of his "toxic" friends who are no longer in his life.

2022: The couple's relationship continues to have its ups and downs, as shown on season 7 of '90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?'

Liz and Ed were featured on yet another "90 Day" spinoff, called "Happily Ever After?," which chronicles memorable couples from the franchise as their relationships continue. They became main cast members on season seven of the spinoff, which aired in late 2022 and early 2023.

In one of season seven's most explosive moments, the two had a massive fight during their engagement party, which began after Big Ed accused Liz of hiding a past lesbian relationship from him. The argument caused things between the couple to devolve (Ed continued accusing Liz of cheating on him, while Liz left her engagement ring in a bush) to the point where Big Ed broke off the engagement.

However, the pair subsequently reconciled, only to break up again (for the 11th time, according to People) at some point in late 2022 after it was revealed that Ed had been texting his ex-fiancee Rosemarie "Rose" Vega behind her back. That break-up happened on-camera in a tell-all episode of "Happily Ever After?" season seven that aired in January 2023.

January 2023: Big Ed and Liz seemed to have patched things up sometime after their last breakup, when cameras weren't rolling

Pretty much right after the season seven tell-all episodes aired, Ed's Instagram activity indicated that he and Liz were still together. On January 27, Ed posted a photo of the two seemingly on vacation, and a few days later he shared a video of them dancing together.

Ed and Liz celebrated her daughter's birthday together in June. ET reported in late July that the couple were seemingly living together again, based on a mutual friend's since-deleted Instagram post that appeared to show a party in Ed and Liz's new home.

August 2023: Big Ed and Liz join '90 Day: The Last Resort' in an attempt to salvage their relationship, and seem to still be engaged

On July 14, TLC announced that Big Ed and Liz would appear in yet another spinoff, "90 Day: The Last Resort." Ahead of the new show's August 14 premiere, the two told E! News that they're in "a great place" after participating in the spinoff, which involved an intensive relationship boot camp process.

"Instead of watching us destroy ourselves, they actually brought in therapist help," Ed told E! News of "The Last Resort" producers. "For me, I'm really happy."

The season premiere of "The Last Resort" revealed that Ed and Liz were in the midst of moving from San Diego to Arkansas, where much of Ed's family lives.

August 29, 2023: Big Ed and Liz apparently tied the knot

While nothing has been shared officially on Big Ed and Liz's Instagram pages, InTouch Weekly first reported that a wedding site for the couple existed — seemingly confirming that they got married in late August.

When viewed by Insider, the site on The Knot for Edward Brown and Elizabeth Marie listed the wedding date as August 29. The ceremony, according to the site, took place at the Holland Barn Venue in Bentonville, Arkansas, and guests were encouraged to wear "bohemian" attire, but not all white.

A Q&A section of the site revealed that the couple's wedding would be a "filmed event" (presumably for "The Last Resort" or another "90 Day" show), but that workarounds would be available for any guests uncomfortable with being on camera.
