Lee's designs took a backseat as she pursued a career in cosmetics innovation. But after getting engaged, she dusted off her old sewing machine.

It took Lee more than a year to make her six bridesmaid dresses.

The dresses were inspired by "Bridgerton," which fit perfectly with the venue's garden setting. But Lee didn't want them to be traditional.

Since most of Lee's bridesmaids lived in LA or San Francisco, she had to navigate making the dresses without many fittings.

The bridesmaids' custom getting-ready outfits were also part of Lee's 26-piece wedding collection.

While Lee was designing her collection, she asked the Galia Lahav team to create a custom tea ceremony dress that paid tribute to her Chinese-American roots.

And Lee knew she wanted to walk down the aisle in a Monique Lhuillier gown.

Lee said it was incredible to see her bridesmaids in their dresses as she walked down the aisle on her wedding day.
