  • R.L. Stine's "Goosebumps" is back as a television series on Disney+ and Hulu.
  • The series was first adapted into a TV show in the 1990s as a kids' horror anthology.

R.L. Stine's "Goosebumps" franchise is back as a Disney+ and Hulu original series. But almost three decades ago, the series was adapted into a kids' horror series in the 1990s — and there are some pretty familiar faces among its cast.

The 1995 "Goosebumps" series ran for four seasons from 1995 to 1998. While both shows adapt Stine's books, the original "Goosebumps" show was an anthology series composed of many different stories as opposed to a cohesive storyline, like the 2023 show.

That meant that there were plenty of rotating cast members. The 1995 "Goosebumps" show featured a young Ryan Gosling and Hayden Christensen, among others.

Here are seven celebrities who you may have forgotten appeared in the first "Goosebumps" show.

Hayden Christensen was in a two-part 1997 episode.

Christiansen appeared in the two-part 1997 "Goosebumps" episode "Night of the Living Dummy III" as the character Zane.

He's best known for his role in the "Star Wars" prequel films as Anakin Skywalker, as well as the 2008 film "Jumper."

Before he was ‘just Ken,’ Ryan Gosling starred in a 1996 episode.

Gosling appeared in the 1996 episode "Say Cheese and Die," which Collider called one of the creepiest episodes of the show. Gosling plays Greg, a teen who comes into possession of a cursed camera.

Gosling most recently starred as Ken in Greta Gerwig's "Barbie," and is also well-known for his roles in films like "The Notebook" and "La La Land."

Laura Vandervoort appeared on the show in 1997 and 1998.

Vandervoort appeared in the 1997 episode "The Haunted House Game," about a cursed board game, and the two-part 1998 episode "Deep Trouble," about mutant fish.

Vandervoort is best known for playing Supergirl in the series "Smallville."
