Ballard's 1962 short story of the same name. Prior to the event, Vogue reported that attendees' looks would feature floral details and archival pieces, which many did.</p><p>Invitees are hand-selected by Vogue's editor in chief, <a target="_blank" rel href="https://www.businessinsider.com/the-fabulous-life-of-anna-wintour-2016-9"><u>Anna Wintour</u></a>, and this year tickets to the ultra-exclusive event <a target="_blank" rel href="https://www.businessinsider.com/met-gala-tickets-cost-2024-5"><u>cost $75,000 each.</u></a></p><p>Here's every celebrity who nailed this year's Met Gala theme.</p>
