Some female celebrities have flipped the script and chosen to propose to their male partners.
"Succession" star Sarah Snook proposed to comedian Dave Lawson during lockdown.

According to Irish lore, February 29 is a particularly auspicious time for women to flip the traditional script and propose to their male partners, IrishCentral reports.

While more women have chosen to propose marriage outside of Leap Day in recent years, it still remains a relatively uncommon phenomenon.
