'21 Jump Street' (October 1)

This revamp of the classic TV series of the same name stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as two cops who must work undercover in a high school. Brie Larson, Ice Cube, Dave Franco, and Rob Riggle round out the supporting cast.

'Couples Retreat' (October 1)

This comedy written by Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn also stars the pair along with Jason Bateman, Kristin Davis, Malin Åkerman, Kristen Bell, and Faizon Love as a group of friends who set off for a couples vacation in Bora Bora, only to find it's a resort filled with therapy-like events.

'Halloween' (2018) (October 1)

One of the most successful reboots of the beloved franchise, this version of "Halloween" stars Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as Laurie Strode, who, decades after the events of the first movie, is still patiently waiting for her rematch with the Boogeyman.

'It Chapter Two' (October 1)

Set decades after the events of the first movie, the now-adult Losers Club return to Derry to face off with Pennywise. James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader and Bill Skarsgård star.

'The Karate Kid' (October 1)

If you love Netflix's "Cobra Kai," watch the movie that spawned the show. This 1980s classic stars Ralph Macchio as the new kid in town who, after being bullied, begins to learn karate thanks to the teachings of Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) to finally put the bullies in their place.

'Psycho' (October 1)

'A Quiet Place Part II' (October 12)

Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe return for the sequel to the popular postapocalyptic horror movie "A Quiet Place." The blind aliens with heightened hearing are still decimating Earth, but the Abbott family also learns that the creatures are not the only danger on the planet.
