RANKED: The 13 best songs by The Lonely Island

13. "Jack Sparrow"

RANKED: The 13 best songs by The Lonely Island

12. "Ras Trent"

12. "Ras Trent"

One of the band's most overlooked songs is about a Rastafarian wannabe. There's something deeply relatable about it, because who hasn't known "that guy" who got a little too into Bob Marley?

11. "Iran so Far"

11. "Iran so Far"

The Lonely Island has a penchant for the absurd, and "Iran so Far" is absurdity at its best. In the song, Samberg serenades former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (Fred Armisen) with a love song, and gets some help from Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.

10. "Natalie's Rap"

10. "Natalie

The trio took the backseat on this one so SNL host Natalie Portman could let loose a profanity-laden rap. The best "Saturday Night Live" hosts are those who are up for anything, and Portman was willing to immediately shed her role model persona in order to spew lyrics like "When I was in Harvard/I smoked weed every day/I cheated every test and snorted all the yay."

9. "The Creep"

9. "The Creep"

No, this isn't a ripoff of the Radiohead song. A lot of Lonely Island songs feature the less savory parts of life, and "The Creep" makes a huge joke out of being that one creepy guy that everyone knows. If anything, this is probably the first and last time we'll ever see Nicki Minaj and John Waters in the same room together.

8. "We Like Sportz"

8. "We Like Sportz"

This one comes from the early days of the group, when they were just a bunch of friends from the Bay Area putting grainy videos online on their pre-YouTube website. "We Like Sportz" is a perfect example of awkward deadpan humor in song form. It's like watching their origin story, and also feels like watching a very early cut of "Hot Rod."

7. "Great Day"

7. "Great Day"

"Great Day" proves that The Lonely Island can also get really dark. During the course of this song, Andy Samberg climbs a tree, sees cartoon birds, and hangs out with Alec Baldwin and Tom Petty. Sounds lighthearted, but the song is about a drug addict who has destroyed his life. The tune will be stuck in your head for weeks.

6. "I'm on a Boat"

6. "I

As The Lonely Island's stardom grew, some of music's biggest stars wanted to join in on the fun. This mildly auto-tuned hit features T-Pain and the Lonely Island crew on a boat, singing about how great it is to be on a boat. There is something so simple and silly about this one that makes it so instantly catchy.

5. "Motherlover"

5. "Motherlover"

Justin Timberlake's comedic rapport with Andy Samberg was so good that he kept coming back to "Saturday Night Live" for more (it also helps that Timberlake is a great host). The band aptly released "Motherlover" on Mother's Day, as a sequel to the classic "D**k in a Box." Like that one, this song seems too dirty to ever be broadcast on TV, and yet it is playful enough to seem harmless.

4. "Everything is Awesome"

4. "Everything is Awesome"

Technically, this one is a collaboration with multiple other writers and musicians, including Tegan and Sara. However, their unique musical stamp is present. This hilarious and gleeful ode to living in an optimistic world was the perfect anthem for "The LEGO Movie," and by far the group's most family friendly song to date.

Plus, "Everything is Awesome" brought The Lonely Island to the Oscars. Guests seemed baffled by the performance.

3. "D**k in a Box"

3. "D**k in a Box"

"D**k in a Box" was Samberg's first collaboration with Justin Timberlake, and they struck gold on the very first try with an incredibly dirty tribute to R&B. Not only did it show that "Saturday Night Live" still had the ability to shock, it also proved that Timberlake had untapped comedy potential. He's the band's honorary member.

2. "J*** in My Pants"

2. "J*** in My Pants"

The beauty of live television is allowing you to watch something truly shocking and completely uncensored. That is the feeling everyone got when they watched the music video for "J*** in My Pants" debut at the end of a "Saturday Night Live" episode.

The incredibly dirty song represents the spirit of The Lonely Island: trying to look cool while doing something incredibly moronic. You'll feel weird singing along to this one, but it's hard to resist.

1. "Lazy Sunday"

1. "Lazy Sunday"

This is where it all started.

In the low quality, high energy music video, Samberg and "Saturday Night Live" co-star Chris Parnell rap about a variety of mundane topics ranging from cupcakes to the film adaptation of "The Chronicles of Narnia."

It's an endlessly catchy song that launched the group into overnight stardom, gave YouTube its first viral sensation, and, in retrospect, perfectly captures the year 2005. "Lazy Sunday" is the song that brought "Saturday Night Live" into the digital era.

Eleven years later and it's still their best and most memorable song.
