It was Hrithik Roshan as our desi super-hero Krrish, who took his fans for a ride last Diwali. The sequel to Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish, the film starring Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles was produced and directed by Rajesh Roshan. With slick special effects and a handsome superhero, the film was lapped up by the audiences, especially kids.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan

In 2012, late director Yash Chopra treated his fans with his magnum opus, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The film that happened to be his last film ever starred Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. The film got mixed reactions. Their ill-fated romance bows down against the politics and they are separated for 20 years. Saamiya Siddiqui, a Pakistani lawyer helps them unite, making it a beautiful love story.

This multi-starrer starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai in lead roles along with six debutants is a love story that makes a rigid man change his orthodox views about love. The film impressed the audiences and critics alike.

Raja Hindustani

This was the film that transformed Karisma Kapoor’s looks and catapulted her to number one slot in Bollywood. Raja and Aarti hailing from different socio-economic backgrounds find love in each other and get married. However, their matrimony doesn’t last long and the two separate. How they stand the test of time and unite forever is a story to watch out for.

One of Bollywood’s most celebrated love story, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is also a Diwali cracker. This tale of love between Raj and Simran makes you want to fall in love. A gem of a movie directed by Aditya Chopra, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles.
