Here are the stars of the new live-action 'Beauty and the Beast' - and who they're playing
Emma Watson as Belle.
Dan Stevens as Beast.
Known for his roles in "Downton Abbey" and the horror-thriller hit "The Guest," he will play the prince who is turned into the Beast.
Ewan McGregor as Lumière.
Before we see the star in the sequel to "Trainspotting" and "Fargo" season three, he'll play the Beast's loyal maître d'.
Ian McKellen as Cogsworth.
Sir Ian will play another of the Beast's loyal staffers. He's often at odds with Lumière.
Luke Evans as Gaston.
You've seen Evans in "The Hobbit" movies and most recently opposite Tom Hiddleston in "High-Rise." He plays the narcissistic town hero who believes Belle should be his wife.
Josh Gad as Le Fou.
Gad, known best as the voice of Olaf in "Frozen," will be a perfect sidekick to Gaston.
Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.
The legendary actress will play the head of the kitchen in the Beast's castle.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette.
A star on the rise, Mbatha-Raw turned heads in "Beyond the Lights" and was just in "Concussion" with Will Smith. She'll next be seen in Matthew McConaughey's Civil War drama "Free State of Jones." She plays the maid of the Beast's castle. In the animated version, her role was the feather duster, Babette.
Kevin Kline as Maurice.
The veteran actor will play Belle's father.
Audra McDonald as Garderobe.
Known for her TV work ("Private Practice"), she'll be playing the castle's lady-in-waiting, which in the animated movie was the opera-singing Wardrobe.
Hattie Morahan as Arathe.
The London actress will be playing the Enchantress role from the animated movie, the one who placed the curse on everyone in the Beast's castle.
Adrian Schiller as Monsieur D'Arque.
The character actor will be playing the owner of the local madhouse who Gaston bribes in his scheme to get Belle into marrying him.
Stanley Tucci as Cadenza.
The "Hunger Games" star will be taking on a character who wasn't featured at all in the animated version, the neurotic maestro of the castle.
