52. Doran Martell

He was the ruler of Dorne who preferred to stay out of the War of the Five Kings. In general, he kept Dorne at a distance from the politics of Westeros because he wanted to keep peace. He was also sick with gout and confined to a wheelchair.

Time of death: Season 6, episode 1, "The Red Woman"

Cause of death: Stabbed by Ellaria Sand.

Sadness ranking: 4. He was a peaceful man, but boring. The betrayal that led to his death is the only interesting thing to happen in Dorne on the show.
