There was this nice little carpet, too. The pop-up loft first opened in June 2014 for only one month. But due to popular demand, it re-opened in September 2014 and has remained open since. There's another Loft in New York City.

The loft is 3-stories high and takes up nearly 5,000 square feet.

Most of the Loft is turned into an open work space. It's open to the public, so you can use the place even if you're not an AWS customer.

One of the best perks about this place is the free AWS consultations it provides. These Amazon employees are available most of the time to give free technical and pricing advice on AWS.

During the day, the event space turns into a normal working space. We went on a Friday afternoon, so it was pretty empty.

"The loft is truly a learning environment where we can connect with those interested in AWS face-to-face. We feel like the Lofts have really become a community and having an open space, snacks, and most importantly access to experts to tap for AWS knowledge has been important in fostering that feel and environment," an AWS spokesperson told us.
