England got off to about as good a start as the team could have hoped for against Croatia in the World Cup semifinal.

Fighting for the chance to take on France in the final, England scored yet another set piece goal just minutes into the match. After winning a free kick just a few yards outside the box, Kieran Trippier lined up and sent a firecracker over the wall and blazing past goalkeeper Danijel Subasic.

The goal was so clean that all Subasic could do was shrug it off - he had no chance of stopping it the moment the ball left Trippier's foot.
