Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk just announced the company's newest product Tesla Energy, a suite of batteries designed to power homes, businesses and utilities.

We couldn't help but notice Musk dropped some interesting hints during his keynote presentation Thursday night.

While he was talking about Tesla Energy, he started referring to the Gigafactory - the massive battery plant the company is building in Nevada - as "Gigafactory 1." Later, Musk said "there will need to be many gigafactories in the future"

And then he hinted that Tesla may not be the only company building such battery plants, saying other companies may be able to run "gigafactory-class operations of their own."

Musk is known for dropping subtle hints on social media, and we could parse all of this in a number of ways, but suffice it to say Tesla is not done yet, and there are certainly more innovations to come.

Tesla Energy is the newest in a series of promising innovations from the company. Tesla lately has been on something of new product blitz. A little more than six months ago, Musk unveiled the super-fast Model S P85D - a 691 horsepower, all-wheel-drive monster. Earlier this month, he brought out the Model S 70D, a cheaper version of its flagship sedan (it starts at $67,500), with the new all-wheel-drive, dual motor platform.

This new Tesla Energy product is thought to have the potential to change the dynamics of global energy.
