Kishore ‘legend’ Kumar may not be with us today but his heart warming & peppy songs still leave us in awe and can feature in anyone’s list of favourite songs. “Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi”, “Yeh Dil Na Hota Bechara”, “Mere Sapno Ki Rani”, “Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahan”, “Neele Neele Ambar Par”, "Om Shanthi Om" and “Aise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho” are some of the hits the versatile singer had given. Fondly called as Kishore da, he has won Filmfare Awards in the Best Male Playback Singer category eight times! On his 86th birth anniversary, we bring you his eight top numbers.

1) "Roop Tera Mastana": Who can forget this romantic number that features late actor Rajesh Khanna and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore. This song from movie ‘Aradhana’, which released in 1969, fetched Kishore da his maiden Filmfare Award in 1969. The song was composed by music director SD Burman and written by Anand Bakshi.



2) "Dil Aisa Kisi Ne Mera": Abhas Kumar Ganguly aka Kishore Kumar won his second Filmfare Award for this song from the movie ‘Amanush’ released in 1975. The movie features Sharmila Tagore, Uttam Kumar and Utpal Dutt. The song was composed by Shyamal Mitra and written by Indeevar.



3) "Khaike Pan Banaras Wala": The song is the deadly combination of the legendary singer and megastar Amitabh Bachchan. This song is from the movie ‘Don’ released in 1978 and fetched Kishore da his 3rd Filmfare Award. The film also stars Zeenat Aman. Written by lyrists Anjaan, the song is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.


4) "Hazaar Raahen Mudke Dekheen": He won his 4th Filmfare Award for this song from the movie ‘Thodisi Bewafaii’ that hit theatres in 1980. The song was composed by legendry musician Khayyam and penned by Gulzar. The movie features superstar Rajesh Khanna and veteran actress Shabana Azmi.



5) "Pag Ghungroo Baandh": We don’t know what will happen to ‘Meera’, but this song can make us dance. Again it is a lethal combo of Kishore and Amitabh from the film Namak Halaal, released in 1982. The song, composed by Bappi Lahiri and written by Anjaan, fetched Kishore da his 5th Filmfare award.



6) "Agar Tum Na Hote": Kishore da, along with RD Burman, formed a formidable team which ensured a chartbuster every time they came together. This song from the movie ‘Agar Tum Na Hote’ is the proof. The film was released in 1983. The song, which got him another Filmfare Award, was written by Gulshan Bawra.



7) "Manzilein Apni Jagah Hain": Kishore da can make you cry by this song from the movie Sharaabi that hit theatres in 1984. This song, composed by Bappi Lahiri and written by Anjaan, fetched the legendry singer his 7th Filmfare Award. The movie features Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada in lead roles.



8) "Saagar Kinaare": The versatile singer won his 8th Filmfare award for this romantic song from the movie ‘Saagar’. The movie released in 1985 and stars Rishi Kapoor, Kamal Haasan and Dimple Kapadia. The song was composed by RD Burman and written by Javed Akhtar.
