The nationwide lockdown has completely altered the academic calendar for students. They are now shifting to online learning options.

To facilitate it, public broadcasters Dordarshan and All India Radio (AIR), in collaboration with state governments, are set to broadcast educational videos and content for the learning continuity.

The virtual classes will be aired across platforms including TV, YouTube and radio. While the initiative will rope in all students across primary, secondary and high school levels, it will especially benefit students in 10th and 12th grades to prepare for competitive exams — including engineering and medical entrances.

For a blended learning experience, some states will also offer education in the form of storytelling and quizzes.

“The total number of hours of daily content across DD Network is 17 hours and 11 hours across All India Radio network daily,” said the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in an official release.
