Earthquake hits Afghanistan, tremors felt across Delhi NCR

An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 Richter scale has hit the Hindukush region of Afghanistan, with tremors being felt in both Pakistan and the northern region of India. According to reports, tremors were felt across Jammu, Srinagar, adjoining areas in Kashmir, Delhi and NCR.

The tremors were also felt in Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan. Reports have suggested that the earthquake created panic and frantic messages were exchanged on Facebook and Twitter. As of now, no casualties have been reported. The earthquake is a stark reminder of the tragic Nepal earthquakes that claimed thousands of lives.
