Sleep patterns have been the topic of research for scientists for many ages. Though it is still a deep dark mystery, people have been broadly classified into two types depending on their sleep patterns- the early risers or the larks and the late nighters or the night owls. This sleep pattern is basically governed by our circadian rhythm or in layman’s term, individual biological internal clock. Sleep also influences our personality. Research indicates that people who stay up late are at higher risk of depression, more prone to alcoholism and consume less healthy diet. But it isn't all bad news for them. Studies have also shown that people who stay up late are more productive than larks and have more stamina throughout the length of their days.
Based on these factors, we at Business Insider have categorised the pros and cons for you.
