‘Dumb’ Thief Sends Friendship Request To Victim, Gets Caught

A Facebook friend request from a thief to the woman, whose bag he stole, has landed him in jail in the US.

Riley Mullins, accused of stealing a woman's purse, was sent to jail after he befriended the woman on Facebook.

The woman identified Mullins with the help of a distinctive triangle tattoo on his arm and informed police.

Mullins has now been dubbed as 'dumb' by Facebook users.

He allegedly stole the purse and ipod from the woman at a ferry terminal. "When she saw the picture of the suspect, she immediately recognised him as the person who assaulted her and robbed her," police officials said.
