Abiding by the guidelines from Delhi High Court, the University of Delhi has extended the registration date for the admission process till 22 June 2019. Given that, the first cut-off for the admissions to undergraduate (UG) courses will be declared on 28 June.
The admissions under the first cut off will take place from 29 June to 1 July 2019. While the second and third cut-off list will be announced on 4 July and 9 July, respectively.
Earlier, the varsity was expected to announce the cut-offs in 20 June. However, the schedule was revised on Wednesday.
The number of students scoring 95% and above has increased by 38.4% this year, which is expected to impact the cut-off criteria of universities. This year, the National Testing Agency will conduct an entrance examination for the University of Delhi, for certain courses. The exams will be held between 30 June and 6 July 2019.
While admissions to most of the undergraduate courses will take place according to their respective cut-offs.
The admission for the 2019-2021 batch will enroll students for nearly 56,000 seats for the under-graduate courses. While, for the PG courses, the university has offered around 9,500 seats. Nearly 282 new seats have been added to the
Stepping up the efforts, the University of Delhi is considering one percent relaxation for the students from government-run and rural schools. In fact, the admissions via sports quota will also have some reformation including Olympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth games, News18 reported.
