Dow futures are down 99, S&P 500 futures are down 12.5 points, and Nasdaq futures are down 26 points.
Overnight, the Hang Seng index, Hong Kong's main benchmark index, fell 1.9% as protests in the financial hub, which broke out over the weekend, continue.
Stocks had a choppy ride last week, with the week punctuated by some turbulence in the bond market after the surprise departure of Bill Gross from PIMCO.
On Monday we get PCE before the bell and housing data at 10:00 am ET, as well as Dallas Fed manufacturing data at 10:30 am ET.
