Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump speaks during a news conference, Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, in Dubuque, Iowa.

NBC is back in business with Donald Trump. That was quick.

Just about two months after NBC declared it's "ending its relationship" with the Republican presidential candidate after he made controversial statements about Mexican immigrants, the network announced that he will be appearing on the Sept. 11 episode of "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

According to the network's release, Trump "will sit down with Fallon and discuss his campaign and other issues of the day."

Last month, NBC Entertainment Chairman, Robert Greenblatt softened the network's stance on Trump.

"I don't think somebody who is running for President and might possibly be the next leader of the free world should be banned from activity with NBC," he said.

But as far as Trump's return to "Celebrity Apprentice," Greenblatt sounded resolute.

"I'm going to end this with two words," he said. "Absolutely not."

Trump was just part of the announcement of guests for Fallon's fall premiere week. Here's the full schedule from NBC:

Ellen DeGeneres
