Realty giant
The court allowed DLF’s contention and said it would start final hearing in the case from February 11. DLF has already deposited Rs 150 crore out of the total fine of Rs 630 crore.
The bench headed by Justice SJ Mukhopadhaya also directed the real estate giant to revise its agreements with flat buyers. "We will first hear the question of jurisdiction. Whether the Commission had the jurisdiction or a consumer forum," the court said.
DLF had moved the Supreme Court, citing its inability to pay the entire Rs 630-crore fine, which is a pre-condition imposed by the court to entertain its appeal against CCI’s order. It asked for more time for paying the remaining amount, saying that it is facing some financial problems.
