‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ trailer: A romantic and dramatic ride on a star-studded cruise ship

What happens when top 6 Bollywood stars come together in a romantic-drama under Zoya Akhtar’s direction? Our hearts skip a beat or two, but the message that Zoya is sending across to the audiences is: Dil Dhadakne do.

Yes, this is the title of her new movie which is slated for a June 5 release. While we all knew that a movie by this name is under production, not much was known about its plot, which has finally been revealed—in bits and pieces—as the first official trailer of the movie has been released just today.

So, what does this new trailer has to get us excited? Well, to begin with, it is the star-studded cruise ride that the movie offers. Starring Ranvir Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Rahul Bose and Shefali Shah, this is a story of a dysfunctional Punjabi family - the Mehras.

In the movie trailer, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah, enacting as Mr and Mrs Mehra, are seen trying hard to get their son (Ranvir Singh) married; convince their daughter (Priyanka Chopra) to not take divorce (from Rahul Bose, her on screen husband); and busy projecting themselves as a ‘happy couple’ to the world.

The movie also stars Anushka Sharma as the lady love of Ranvir Singh and Farhan Akhtar as Priyanka Chopra’s friend (or ex-boyfriend).
Although the trailer looks interesting, but we can’t be so sure how far this movie will go at the Box Office. Well, let’s wait and watch till it hits the big screen. As of now, we wish the Dil Dhadakne do, good luck!
