Digital India's backbone Bharat Net gets an allocation bump in Budget 2017

Bharat Net is the backbone for the govt’s Digital India as it is what will drive Digital India. Through Bharat Net, the govt is looking to provide internet connectivity to 1,50,000 gram panchayats. The Finance Minister in his Budget speech today said that the government will allocate Rs. 10,000 crore for Bharat Net in FY118
