Sushant Singh Rajput in and as Ticket Collector Dhoni in movie’s teaser

Being the most successful skipper of the Indian cricket team, MS Dhoni needs no introduction, but there was a time when he was miles away from the world of cricket, working as a ticket collector in the Indian railways.

After the poster was released last week, the teaser of Dhoni’s biopic starring Sushant Singh Rajpoot, called MS Dhoni – The Untold Story is out, and it promises to tell a lot about the unknown phase of Mahi’s life.

The teaser starts with Sushant’s voiceover, introducing himself as “Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ticket Collector, South Eastern Railway,” reporting for duty on his first day. He is seen at Kharagpur Juntion railway station, walking on a crowded platform before the scene shifts to a determined Dhoni looking at a train passing by, while in the background, we hear the voice of a commentator recounting his winning six in the 2011 World Cup.




The brilliant teaser manages to catch our attention, and reconfirms that Dhoni’s success is not an overnight story, and he has put in years of efforts to be where he is now.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film required Rajpoot to star as one of India’s most beloved cricketers, for which he trained with former Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More for a year. The movie releases on 2nd September.
