Deutsche Bank has made another big hire.

Deutsche Bank has made another big hire focused on dealmaking in the tech sector.

The German bank has hired Ed Wehle as global head of technology services, reporting to Mark Keene, global head of tech, media and telecoms investment banking coverage. He will be based in New York.

He joins from Citigroup, where he spent more than two decades. He was most recently head of global services at the US bank, and has worked on close to $50 billion in deals since 2000, according to the memo announcing his hire.

"He has built one of the leading services franchises over the course of his nearly 23 year career," Keene said. "In a sector that continues to evolve, our clients will benefit tremendously from his experience providing strategic and actionable advice as they navigate the opportunities ahead."

Wehle is the 13th hire at managing director level in the Americas corporate finance business this year, and the second in tech. Earlier this year, it hired Tommaso Zanobini as global head of financial technology.

The bank ranked number 8 globally for investment banking fees in the first half, according to Dealogic, and ninth for US investment banking fees.
