During the "Unite the Right" rally on Saturday, held by white supremacists and neo-Nazis to protest the removal of a Confederate statue, a car driven by James Fields Jr. plowed into counterprotesters, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer and injuring many others.
Speaking at a service Wednesday afternoon, Heyer's mother told a crowd, "They tried to kill my child to shut her up. Well guess what? You just magnified her," Reuters reported.
