"This is now the fastest train in India. We are recording all technical parameters during the trial run and hope to introduce it to the public by this November," Delhi Divisional Railway Manager Anurag Sachan said.
While fast by Indian standards, the speed is way below the Japanese Shinkansen, which Modi admires, which touches 320 kilometres an hour.
The government is set to roll out extensive plans to overhaul the railways when it will present the railway budget. The introduction of
