The first official trailer of Bombay Velvet, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma was released early this morning. Marking the mainstream debut of filmmaker Karan Johar in a negative role, the movie has been produced by Fox Star Studios and Phantom Films, and has been directed by Anurag Kahsyap.

The movie is set in the 1960s Bombay, with Kapoor playing a boxer Johnny Balraj who wants to be a ‘big shot’ and Sharma playing the role of Rosie, a singer he falls in love with.
