Dadra and Nagar exit poll 2019 for Lok Sabha Elections

Business Insider compiled surveys from five reputed sources — Republic-C Voter, NDTV - Hansa, Today's Chanakya, India Today-Axis, and TimesNow - VMR — amongst many others and the final number is an average of these five polls.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli has a single Lok Sabha constituency. The union territory that was ruled by the Portuguese till 1954 and then joined the Indian Union saw its first Lok Sabha elections in 1967. The total number of voters in this constituency is 1,96,597. The gender ratio of this figure is 1,06,203 males and 90,394 females. Dadra and Nagar Haveli is an urban constituency that has a very high percentage of literate voters. The literacy rate in the union territory is 77.65%. There is a very high concentration of Scheduled tribe population in Dadra and Nagar Haveli estimated at about 51.95%.

During 2014 general elections for the Lok Sabha, Natubhai Gomanbhai Patel of the BJP won from this seat. Also, the BJP held this seat after its victory from here in 2009 elections. Mohanbhai Sanjibhai Delkar held this seat continuously for six terms from 1989 to 2004. During these six elections, two times he fought as an independent candidate, two times for the INR, once for the BJP and once for his own Bharatiya Navshakti Party.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli has one Lok Sabha constituency. This constituency is unreserved. In 2014 general elections, this urban constituency showed a very high voter turnout estimated at 84.09%. The union territory went for polling during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections on April 23 during the third phase of elections in the country.
