FanTiger, one of India’s music NFT marketplace, launched its debut music NFT with Punjabi singer and actress, Sunanda Sharma, making her the world’s first female Punjabi singer to release a song as an NFT on Friday . According to a report by MarketDecipher, the global music NFT marketplace was estimated at $1.24 billion in 2021 and is projected to reach a market value of $42 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 27.52 %.
Sunanda, the 30-year-old artist, has opened the waitlist for her new song, “9-9 Mashukan”, for fans to reserve their spot on FanTiger.com to invest in her music NFT. This allows fans to purchase partial ownership of the song, get royalty income, exclusive community access, limited edition signed merchandise, and an opportunity to personally interact with the artist.
Every music NFT purchased through FanTiger is secured on a blockchain, thus making it safe to own and free from any plagiarism, the company claims.
Prashan Agarwal, former CEO of Gaana and Co-Founder of FanTiger said, “Sunanda is leading the way to step into the world of bringing music closer to fans everywhere and living up to her title of ‘Boss Lady’ given by her fans.”

The announcement comes shortly after FanTiger’s recent $5.5 million seed round led by Multicoin Capital in May. The company plans to use the funds raised to grow its team across product, tech, build industry partnerships and onboard more well-known and aspiring Indian artists.
