Spoilers Ahead: Climax of 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy' leaked?

The ambience of Yash Raj Films' office in Mumbai suburbs turned somber on Tuesday evening when filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee heard of a crucial digital leak concerning his upcoming film.

A video surfaced on the internet later yesterday that revealed the film's climax said TOI. A pivotal marketing strategy for the film was maintaining the mystery around its 'whodunit' formula. But the video that was clearly shot by a unit member during the film's climax revealed who the villain is in the film.

Dibakar did not take it very seriously when first told about it said the TOI report. A three-pager from the film's screenplay too was out a few days back. But, when he was described the scene that was in the video, his face went pale. Dibakar, who was in the middle of interviews with leading publications, stalled the interaction and promptly went to meet Aditya Chopra regarding the same, suggested our source present at the venue.

According to the TOI report, an onlooker says, "It seemed someone from his core group spewed venom. There's also a possibility that this is a publicity gimmick but going by Dibakar's reaction it's highly unlikely."

'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy' is all set to release this Friday.
