Chris Christie is getting torched by the school official who's hosting his 2016 announcement

The superintendent of the high school where New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is expected to announce his 2016 presidential campaign is no fan of the governor.

Jim O'Neill, the Livingston School District's interim superintendent, has repeatedly criticized Christie in the press since the Tuesday event's location was revealed.

"It is my personal opinion that the governor adopts policies that he believes will serve his political agenda regardless of whether or not they are good or necessary," O'Neill told NJ.com.

O'Neill, a longtime critic of Christie's education policies, further told The Philadelphia Inquirer that his views on Christie are well-known.

"I don't think it's any secret that most of my political and educational views are about 180 degrees from the governor's," O'Neill said Monday.

As far as the event itself, O'Neill said he had no plans to attend.

"I'll watch it on the news later, like most people," he said. "I'm getting all kinds of hate emails ... from teachers, retired teachers, and other public employees."

Christie, a Livingston High School graduate, has famously feuded with his state's teachers' unions and with O'Neill in particular.
