China Officially Announces Change To Infamous One-Child Policy

China held a huge meeting on reform last week, and the details of what was agreed to are finally coming out.

This is one change that will get headlines.

Per Chinese news agency Xinhua, the government is loosening restrictions on its infamous one-child policy, that's been in place for decades.

If that tweet is unclear, it means that a couple will be allowed to have more than one child if one of the parents is an only child.

The general rule, therefore, is still in place.

Other reform details include reductions to the use of the death penalty and labor re-education camps.
