China is opposing India’s NSG entry, even when its own proliferation records are objectionable

China is well against India's entry into the elite NSG group citing that it is not a member of NPT; however, when it comes to proliferation, Beijing's record in itself is pretty debatable.

There have several questions have about Beijing's sharing its technology with nations like Pakistan, Iran and North Korea, a fact certified by these leaked US government files by Wikileaks:

NORTH KOREA
December 2008: Shenyang Huali Economic Trading Company from China was working through North Korean intermediaries, acting as a key source of raw materials and technology for a North Korean ballistic missile development project in Syria.

August 2005: Beijing confirmed that Dandong Xinshidai Trading Company Ltd, from China, shipped several tonnes of stainless steel to the Korea Mining Development Corporation, which is North Korea's primary weapons trader.

PAKISTAN
March 2009: US raised concerns when Beijing Tianlianxing Scientific Ltd offered 1,000 kilogram of specialty steel to Pakistan's Aginel Enterprises, known to be associated with Pakistan's nuclear weapons and missile programmes.

This steel was used to produce components in Pakistan's Ghaznavi short-range ballistic missile, which is a Missile Technology Control Regime controlled system.

March 2009: China was asked to answer on Pakistan's Intralink Incorporated, seeking a quote from the Chinese firm Suzhou Testing Instrument Factory for a vibration test system, which again was for Pakistan's Ghaznavi short-range ballistic missile.

October 2008: China said that its supply of trisonic wind tunnel to Islamabad was meant for Pakistan government’s missile-related research and development.

October 2008: China was once again questioned for Chinese firm Polytechnologies using false documentation so that it could supply a coil-winding machine and integrated optical chips to Pakistan's Advanced Engineering and Research Organization (AERO). This was said to be for the development of nuclear weapons delivery systems, cruise missiles, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

March 2006: Beijing said that it was concerned about Pakistan's missile programme attempting to procure ring-rolling and flow forming machines from Chinese entities so that it could develop of Pakistan's Shaheen series of ballistic missiles.

October 2005: Jinan Metal Forming Machinery Engineering Company Ltd, another Chinese firm, was accused of supplying Pakistan's Heavy Mechanical Complex with a ring-rolling machine, which was meant for being used in Pakistan's missile program.

IRAN
March 2009: US brought out 'long standing serious concerns' because of proliferation-related trading activities of a Chinese firm Dalian Sunny Industries, which was supplying components and materials for Iran's ballistic missile programs.

January 2009: Hong Kong Most Group Co Ltd was said to be supplying Iranian firm Aluminat Co with Chinese origin aluminum plates so that a variety of structural components in Scud missiles could be produced.

December 2006: Beijing said that it knew of a Chinese company which was working on Iran’s order for specialty steel for its solid fuelled ballistic missile developer, the Shahid Bakeri Industrial Group.

SYRIA
June 2008: US asked Beijing to explain why a Syrian entity called Industrial Solutions, responsible for Syria's ballistic missile programme, ordered a consignment of 2024-T6 aluminum from the Chinese company Shanghai Yuanshan Industry and Trade Company.
