Check out the $55 million 'players village' Clemson is building to recruit players
According to a report from The Washington Post, 48 schools in the five wealthiest college conferences have seen an 89% increase in spending on athletic facilities from 2004 to 2014.
Clemson University is embodying that increase, building, as the Post highlights, a $55 million players village that looks like a resort for its football players.
Clemson made an animated video giving a tour of the future facilities, which will include a gym and practice fields, but also a mini-golf course, a sand volleyball pit, an outdoor pavilion for fires and barbecues, and a lounge area with pool and ping pong tables.
