Affordable is the latest bug catching up with the smartphone makers in the country and a domestic brand has taken the term to a whole new level with the first-ever octa-core powered device priced at less than Rs 10,000.WickedLeak, known for products that come across as cheap knock-offs to tier one brands, has done it again with its Wammy Neo Youth smartphone that comes equipped with the power of eight-core processors and priced at merely Rs 8,450. At this price, the company has managed to pack quite a few punches with the Wammy Neo Youth which seems rather bizarre.
Wammy Neo Youth comes in a five inch form factor with HD display and packs the 1.7 GHz octa-core processor from Mediatek that comes in Micromax Canvas Knight and HTC’s recently launched Desire 616 smartphones. The said chipset is clubbed with a 1 GB RAM, offering 8 GB storage and expandable up to 64 GB.
The imaging prowess on the Wammy Youth is facilitated by 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras. However, it comes with only 2,200 mAh battery that might prove to be the reason for the phone’s downfall. WickedLeak Wammy Neo Youth is available on pre-order price of Rs 8,450 on the company website and in addition to that, the phone is available with the added protection of AquaProtect, which is available for Rs 9,950.
