Narang International Hotels, a Mumbai-based chain of hotels, has moved the Madras High Court, seeking to wind up budget carrier SpiceJet for not paying the accumulated in-flight service charges, which are about Rs 8 crore.

The court has issued notices to the SpiceJet management asking it to file its reply in four weeks.

Narang has been handling catering services for SpiceJet flights on Delhi and Mumbai sectors since May 12, 2005, said the petition. It added that the airline’s management was contractually mandated to settle payment every 15 days.
