One NFL team has offered United States Women's National Team star Carli Lloyd a spot on their roster for Thursday's final preseason game.

Multiple teams contacted Lloyd after her 55-yard field goal at Philadelphia Eagles training camp went viral. According to her trainer, James Galanis, a team offered her the opportunity to become the first woman to play in an NFL preseason game.

"Today, she got another call from another NFL team," Galanis told FOX Sports on Monday. "The one that called today, I don't want to say who it is, was willing to put her on the roster for their next (game). They were willing to put her on the roster."

Galanis did not name the team but said Lloyd was genuinely interested in the opportunity. However, the USWNT has a friendly against Portugal on Thursday, which created a conflict.

According to Galanis, Lloyd wouldn't hop in immediately due to lack of preparation time.

"She would need a couple of weeks training just to get comfortable and acclimated," Galanis said. "But things have escalated and it is real."

One of the best strikers in the game, Lloyd is known for the power she puts behind the ball. It is still unclear when she will retire from soccer and if she will play in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Despite turning down an initial offer from the NFL team, Galanis said they urged her to contact them immediately if she was serious about giving football a try.
