It’s not just tech companies, even non-tech sectors are stepping up their game, as automation becomes all-pervasive. So much so, they are competing with the tech sector in terms of hiring.

As per a TeamLease report, over a million or around 11.15 lakh tech jobs will be created by non-tech sectors like BFSI and consulting; communication media and technology; retail and consumer business; life sciences and healthcare; engineering research and development (ER&D); and energy and resources; by FY27-28.

Parallel to these widening opportunities, the recent trend of massive layoffs in several big technology companies has encouraged tech personnel to move from niche tech industries to non-tech sectors. For such professionals, here are the opportunities and remunerations analyzed across banking, finance, insurance and consulting sectors for tech roles.
